Ted Ramos

Coach Ted is a certified Level 1USA Triathlon Coach and a Level 3 USA Cycling coach. He has experience workingwith all types of athletes, men and women from youth level to senior citizensand everything in between, coaching athletes in triathlon, swimming, runningand cycling.

Ted began his coaching careerwhen he coached the Oak Park Masters swim team for 3 years. He started coachingtriathlon when he coached a youth clinic at USAT Junior Nationals. After thathe joined Well Fit and has coached many individual athletes and coached many classesthere including various sprint, Olympic and 1/2 Iron Man triathlon classes anda cyclocross bike class.

His strengths include providing adetailed training plan that will prepare his athlete’s for the conditions theywill face on race day, providing positive reinforcement to his athletes, givingthoughtful answers to their questions, and preparing athletes with strategiesfor a successful race day.

Athletically, Ted's passions fallon the off road side of endurance sports. A seven time Xterra Midwest Champion,he qualified and competed in the Xterra National Championship and Xterra WorldChampionship the past year. In cycling, Ted is a category 1 cyclocross andmountain bike racer and a category 3 road racer. Ted has raced the past twoseasons as a member of the Well Fit Elite triathlon team and Iron Cyclescycling team.

I picked up Cyclocrosswith no bike handling experience of any type. I wanted to improve my bikehanding skills and also continue to stay in shape after the triathlon season.Cyclocross (CX) ended up being a perfect solution.
