Chicago Triathlon Training Program

Well-Fit's Chicago Triathlon Training Program has been specifically designed by USA Triathlon certified Level III coach Sharone Aharone to meet all of the training requirements of athletes at any level.

The program begins the week of June 7th and has helped literally hundreds of athletes complete their first triathlon or set a personal best at one of the world's largest triathlons.

Whether you are:

  • an individual focused on improving your form and technique so you can cross the finish line
  • an intermediate or advanced athlete with some multisport experience prepared to take your race day performance to the next level

Well-Fit has a training program designed to meet your needs and help you achieve your goals. All participants receive an online training program detailing exactly what you need to do each day to reach your specific race day goal.

In addition, athletes located in the Chicago area can train with like-minded athletes and take advantage of Well-Fit's USA Triathlon certified coaches, all of the amenities of the Well-Fit Training Center (located at 1700 West Hubbard Street), and Lake Michigan for open water swims. Groups will meet twice weekly during the 12-week program on Tuesday nights at 7:30pm and Saturday mornings at 7:00am, including weekend workouts focusing on open water swimming, smooth, fast transitions, and race day nutrition.

More information 

*Although not strictly necessary, we recommend that participants in the Chicago Triathlon Training Program arrange a pre-season Tri-Diagnosic or a VO2max Test prior to beginning this training program. The diagnostic and the VO2max test will help you establish accurate training zones for use throughout the program.
