Youth Triathlon Training Program


The Well-Fit Youth/Junior Development Program is designed to educate and train Youth and Junior level athletes in the sport of triathlon. USA Triathlon Certified Coaches will train the athletes safely and effectively throughout their developmental stages within the program. The program is designed to start athletes with focusing on the sport fundamentals and then will build their fitness through training and racing.

Athletes will be instructed on proper training and testing protocols, nutritional considerations as well as race day strategies throughout the program. The Well-Fit program is broken up into training blocks which each have specific skill and fitness goals.

The training program will be designed and led by Coach Sharone Aharon, a USAT Elite Level III coach, with the assistance of Coach Andy Parro, Whitney Young High School's Head Swim coach.

The athletes will be training at the state-of-the-art Well-Fit Training Center, which is designed around the endurance athlete's needs and specifically those of the triathlete. The Training Center is equipped with 24 CompuTrainers, endless pool, treadmills and a vast array of functional conditioning equipment.

Program includes:

  • 12 weeks (per training phase) of an organized training plan with detailed daily workouts designed to help you learn the basic and advanced fundamentals for the sport of triathlon
  • Two coached sessions per week
  • Develop swim and open water swim technique and fitness
  • Master Cycling fitness and skills
  • Develop running and running of the bike skills and fitness
  • Triathlon racing strategies
  • Personal TrainingPeaks account for tracking workouts
  • Unlimited access to USAT Level III Elite coach
  • Sponsors and products discounts


  • Phase 1: 12 weeks - March 11 to June 2
  • Phase 2: 12 weeks - June 3 to August 25

Session Times:

  • Tuesdays 4:30PM to 5:30PM @ Well-Fit Training Center
  • Thursdays 4:30PM to 5:30PM @ Whitney Young Pool
  • Saturdays 9AM to 11AM, twice per month TBD


  • $360 for each training phase
  • $650 for both phases (10% discount)
